Dover (19904)- Members of the Delaware Probation and Parole, Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit (KDU), and The U.S. Marshals Task Force executed a search warrant with the arrest of two suspects.
On Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at approximately 3:30 a.m. officers from Delaware Probation and Parole, Delaware State Police, and The U.S. Marshals Task Force executed a search warrant in in an attempt to locate 30-year-old Sylvester Gould Jr. of Newark and 29-year-old Kimberly Martin of Dover. Upon arrival officers located Martin and she was taken into custody without incident. Officers from the Marshals Task Force took Gould Jr. into custody at the Royal Farms located on Lebanon Road, just prior to the execution of the search warrant.
During the search, officers located a loaded .40 Caliber Hi-Point Handgun, a hooded mask, and a pair of gloves in a bag together. Officers also found several rounds of loose 9mm ammunition were also recovered.
Sylvester Gould Jr. is a person prohibited from possessing a firearm and was subsequently charged for Possession of a Firearm by Person Prohibited, and Possession of Ammunition by a Person Prohibited. Gould Jr. was also wanted out of the Middletown Police Department for another incident involving a firearm. He was arraigned out of Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $32,000.00 cash bond.
Kimberly Martin was charged with Conspiracy 2nd for aiding Gould Jr. in Storing and Possessing the discovered firearm. She was arraigned out of Justice of the Peace Court 7 and released on $1000.00 unsecured bond.
The U.S. Marshals Task Force is a joint unit consisting of Marshals as well as Delaware Probation and Parole Officers.
