Each year hundreds of children and adults here in Delaware suffer through blistering cold winters without proper clothing to stay warm. Ten years ago, Delaware Probation Officers recognized that need and began a small winter coat drive. This year marked a "Decade of Warmth" for Operation ZiPP Up, and once again we had a successful year. Probation Officers and staff from around the state collected over 480 pieces of winter clothing for men, women, and children of all sizes. This brought the total to over 3200 articles of clothing over the past decade.

The great part about Operation ZiPP Up is that it is funded solely based on donation. There is no community outreach fund or government money paying for these items, but instead they are paid for through the kindness and warmth of those involved.
