On Monday, October 23, 2019, Probation Officers Jahaira Torres and Kristina Lewis were present as Governor John Carney recognized the 25th anniversary of the Domestic Violence Day of Unity and declared October to be Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Officers Torres and Lewis are members of Delaware Probation and Parole's Domestic Violence Unit in New Castle County and are instrumental in not only the supervision of DV offenders, but of providing families with valuable resources.
