"Three Arrested in Felton Area Meth Lab Operation
On Wednesday February 10, 2016 at approximately 4:15 p.m., members of the Governor’s Task Force, along with Probation and Parole Officer assigned to the unit, responded to the 4600 block of Hills Market Road in order to conduct an administrative probation check on Michael W. Baker, 24, after he was arrested the earlier that day for shoplifting items from the Lowes in Camden, which were common components required to produce methamphetamine. Upon the task force’s arrival at the residence, Baker, along with Todd S. Plummer, 33 of Greenwood, and Christopher G. Divel, 25 of Houston, were observed standing in a detached garage on the property. All three were taken into custody without incident. As probation officers were conducting a search of the garage, they located equipment and component mixtures of the manufacturing stages of Meth along with key ingredients in making the drug. A search of the house revealed three shotguns and two rifles along with ammunition to the weapons.
All three subjects were transported to Troop 3 in Camden where Michael Baker was charged with Operating a Clandestine Laboratory, two counts of Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Counterfeit Controlled Substance (Meth), Conspiracy 2nd , Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Methamphetamine. He was arraigned at JP7 and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $8,200.00 secured bond.
Todd Plummer was charged with Operating a Clandestine Laboratory, two counts of Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Counterfeit Controlled Substance (Meth), Conspiracy 2nd, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Methamphetamine. He was arraigned at JP7 and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $8,200.00 secured bond.
Christopher Divel was charged with Operating a Clandestine Laboratory, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Counterfeit Controlled Substance (Meth), Conspiracy 2nd, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Methamphetamine. He was arraigned at JP7 and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $6,100.00 secured bond.
Detectives assigned to the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit, with the assistance of DNREC and the Little Creek Fire Company, responded to the home to assist with the investigation. No evacuations were ordered and no roadways were closed as it was determined that there was no immediate hazard to nearby residents." DSP News Room
