On Jan. 24th, 2017, Delaware Probation and Parole Officers assigned to the United States Marshals Task force assisted in the apprehension of a 27-year-old Wilmington woman, Deneshia Wright, in connection with murder of Charles May, a 66-year-old man who was found shot dead inside a Dodge Ram pickup truck in Wilmington earlier this month.
On Jan. 17th, The Marshals Task Force had taken this case in an effort to help Wilmington PD locate and apprehend Ms. Wright. After hours of diligent work with multiple agencies including Probation and Parole, Wilmington PD, and the FBI Task Force; the Marshals Task Force was able to develop information that helped them locate Wright.
Officers responded to the area of North Seventh Street and North Washington Street and were able to locate and arrest Wright without incident. Following the arrest, Wright was turned over to Wilmington PD for processing. The subject, Deneisha Wright is now being held on the charges of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
